Common questions

Whose name goes first, the groom or the bride?
The groom’s name usually comes first when the two families are the ones inviting, but nothing obliges you. If the couple are inviting themselves the order is theirs, and plenty of people set both names at the same size.
Do I have to include the family names?
No. Family names appear when the families are the ones inviting, which is how most Egyptian weddings are worded. If the two of you are inviting people yourselves, your own names are enough. Change "Who is inviting" above and you will see both versions.
The Katb Kitab and the wedding are the same day — one invitation or two?
One invitation with two times, if the same people are invited to both. Two, if the signing is close family and the celebration is wider — so nobody is sent an invitation to something they are not invited to. The "Katb Kitab + Wedding" option above writes both on one invitation, with a place for each.
Should the invitation be in Arabic or English?
Whichever suits your guests. Most Egyptian weddings word it in Arabic, and some couples carry both versions when there are guests or relatives who read English. The generator produces both at once, so you can see them side by side and decide.
How is Ekleel wording different from a wedding invitation?
An Ekleel opens with a verse from the Bible or a line such as "بنعمة الرب يسوع المسيح", and the place is the church, with the reception afterwards at a second venue — so the invitation names both. The rest — who is inviting, the names, the time — reads the same.
Do you store what I type here?
No. Everything you type stays in your own browser. It is never sent to us or to anyone else. You can close the page and come back to find it as you left it, and clearing this site’s data in your browser removes it.
